Overview of Department :

The Nephrology unit at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital is a busy department with state of art facilities. It caters to both acute and chronic nephrology problems. It has more than 50 dialysis machines performing both inpatient and out patient dialysis.Outpatient dialysis is a 30 bedded haemodialysis unit. Inpatient and acute dialysis includes all the upto date renal replacement therapies. The unit runs a robust kidney transplant program with an active cadaver transplants as well. With excellent and trained dialysis technicians and nurses in good ratio, and experienced senior consultants, the unit is run effectively. This is helped by a strong DNB nephrology program that attract residents from all over the country.
