"11th Family Doctor Conference held at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital"
11th Medical Conference by Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in presence of Dr Dhananjay Kelkar, medical director of the hospital & Director of National AIDS Research Institute Dr Sheela Godbole, was the chief guest.
"Health Harmony" was the central theme of the conference.
In the conference, eminent experts in the field of medicine guided the family doctors on various topics keeping them in focus. Dr. Vidya Nene, Organising Chairman and Dr. Sushma Jeenwal, Convener informed that more than three hundred and fifty medical professionals from Pune and outside Pune attended the conference.
In the conference, Dr. Prasad Rajhans was awarded the ’Samarpit seva sanman puraskar(Dedicated Service Award) for his contribution to emergency medical care and Dr Vasanti Joshi, a senior family doctor from Kothrud, was awarded the Dhanvantari Award.
Dr. Sheela Godbole, Director, National AIDS Research Institute, in her presidential address, gave guidance on the challenges of various infectious diseases, preventive preparedness and ongoing research.
Speaking on the topic of Health Harmony, Dr. Dhananjay Kelkar highlighted the importance of family doctors in the medical fraternity.
