Training Workshop on Cervical Cancer Prevention

On the eve of World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day-17th November, the Preventive Medicine Department convened a multisectoral workshop uniting medical professionals from Modern Medicine and AYUSH, postgraduate students, public health experts, professors, state health officers, and NGO doctors.

We were privileged to have our Chairpersons and distinguished speakers and panelists Dr. Ramesh Bhosale, Dr. Saritha Shamsundar, Dr. Smita Joshi, Dr. Dattatreya Phadke, Dr. Asha Gokhale, Dr.Manjusha Ghumare Dr. Madhuwanti Abhyankar, Dr. Nikhil Parwate, Dr. Veena Rahatgaokar, Dr. Madhavi Bahulikar, Dr. Arundhati Kanade, Dr. Mayur Thosar, and Dr. Gaurav Suralkar along with 104 participants, driving the momentum from awareness to action.

The sessions focused on bridging the gap between current practices and future goals. Reaching the SDG 2030 target for cervical cancer elimination is a huge leap from where we stand today. It demands coordinated, multisectoral action — and this workshop marked a strong step forward.
